I never work alone, but I recognize that sometimes it is isolation that has driven many of the initiatives that I have built to maintain or exist in connectivity, especially with those connectivities that we lose daily due to the separation of our capitalist system and the industrialization processes. Our islands, our archipelagos are not floating but anchored in years and years of colonial and historical absences. None of the projects that I share, in which I work, direct, participate are a claim of my authorship, but part of multiple minds and strategic executions with partners in thought and in life. Some of these partners I do not know yet and others have experience together with me in the processes and the design to think other ways of doing and to relate to imagine possible futures.

PR’04! It is a project not only close to my heart and that continues to challenge me to think what I do, but it is the result of a complex fabric of shared knowledge that has lasted for years of mutual admiration among the participants. It was not a project dedicated to promoting tourism and the culture of the state but rather to the possible coexistence of trans-geographic comrades who dream of building another world beyond the borders of the borders and who put into practice a form of coexistence; one that is only possible with diversity and complicit love between beings and things. Something that guided us was the need to create support structures not for the pre-established but for things to move and acquire their own order, experiences, situations and therefore the embodiment of experimentation. As my colleague and partner, Pablo León de la Barra, said: “it was a place where for a moment artists and curators could stop thinking about how to advance their careers, and where they could really begin to relate to themselves and each other through through their work.”

Nunca trabajo sola, pero reconozco que a veces es él aislamiento lo que ha impulsado muchas de las iniciativas que he construido para mantener o existir en conectividad, especialmente con los enlaces que perdemos diariamente por la separación de nuestro sistema capitalista y los procesos de industrialización. Nuestras islas, nuestros archipiélagos no están flotando sino anclados en años y años de ausencias coloniales e históricas. Ninguno de los proyectos que comparto, en los que he trabajado, dirigido, o participo son reclamo de mi autoría, sino parte de múltiples mentes y ejecuciones estratégicas con socios en el pensamiento y en la vida. Algunos de estos socios aún no los conozco y otros tienen experiencia junto conmigo en los procesos y el diseño para pensar otras formas de hacer y relacionarse para imaginar futuros posibles.

PR’04! Es un proyecto, no solo cercano a mi corazón sino uno que me sigue desafiándome a pensar lo que hago, fue el resultado de un tejido complejo de conocimiento compartido catapulto años de admiración mutua entre los participantes. No fue un proyecto dedicado a promover el turismo y la cultura del estado sino de la posible convivencia de compañeros transgeoráficxs que sueñan con construir otro mundo más allá de los dominios de las fronteras y que pusieron en práctica una forma de convivencia; una que sólo es posible con diversidad y amor cómplice entre seres y cosas. Algo que nos guió fue la necesidad de crear estructuras de apoyo no para lo preestablecido sino para que las cosas se movieran y adquirieran su propio orden, vivencias, situaciones y por ende la encarnación de la experimentación. Como dijo mi colega y socio, Pablo León de la Barra: “era un lugar donde por un momento los artistas y curadores podían dejar de pensar en cómo avanzar sus carreras, y donde realmente podían comenzar a relacionarse con ellos mismos y con el otro a través de su trabajo.”
